Academic Enterprise Centres
Academic Enterprise Centres are how the University of Salford disseminates research outcomes by doing consultancy for industrial companies or other clients.
Our internationally renowned academics, many with practical experience, come from professional and culturally diverse backgrounds to offer students leading edge, world class thinking.
We offer a range of management-focused, professionally accredited, undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses developed with built environment industries to meet their needs.
Courses can be studied full-time, part-time, as accelerated degrees or online - options which allow students to combine a career with study.
At undergraduate level our full-time courses offer industrial placement and sponsorship opportunities. Around 72% of our graduates achieve a first or 2:1 degree (compared to a national average of 64% in the same subjects) and over 9 out of 10 of our graduates find employment, or go on to further study six months after graduating*.
We also offer postgraduate opportunities for those looking to continue their studies and deepen their knowledge. Many of our postgraduate courses are available full-time, part-time, or via distance learning, giving students flexibility and allowing them to combine a career with studying.
The School has been leading the research agenda in the built environment for more than 20 years, and offers world-class research opportunities for professional development. The research arm of the School of the Built Environment is one of the UK's most successful, embracing themes such as information communication technology, management, and the environment. Over half of our research was judged to be world leading or internationally excellent in terms of it's originality, significance and rigour in the most recent REF.
