I'DGO awarded diploma in major international prize
SURFACE research project, Inclusive Design for Getting Outdoors (I'DGO), has been awarded a diploma in the not-for-profit category of the Design for All Foundation Awards 2013.
In recognition of the project’s top three placing in the awards scheme (from a long-list of 13), the diploma entitles the I'DGO consortium to free membership of the Foundation’s international networks for one year.
Presented at a ceremony held as part of the International Design Biennial in Saint-Étienne, France, the prizes were judged by a 13-strong jury headed by Francesc Aragall, President of the Design for All Foundation, which promotes examples of best practice in Design for All (inclusive/universal design), globally.
One jury member said “I am very impressed with the work of I'DGO. Their method is rigorous, empathetic, and very thoughtful. I believe there is a lot that others can learn from their approach".
