Trevor Mole is founder and Managing Director of multi-disciplinary consultant Property Tectonics. He has a passion for education and training and believes SMEs prosper when they are creative, innovative and nimble. This requires high quality people who are team players with the confidence to think laterally and grab the opportunities.
Trevor has diverse and extensive experience in Construction and Property as a Chartered Building Surveyor working in both the public and private sectors. He spent several years in education as an academic at Salford University before starting Property Tectonics in 1987.
"We have just begun in the UK to realise the opportunities and benefits which arise from Universities and Industry working together in real and meaningful partnership. Personally I see Salford University as an essential resource for my business."
Trevor has served on many University, Academic and RICS committees and panels both in the UK and abroad. He is a past President of the RICS Building Surveyors Division and was Vice Chairman of the RICS Education and Membership Committee for several years. He is currently President of a pan-European group of Building Surveyors and Building Experts the AEEBC.
Having an academic background gives Trevor the opportunity to have an open ended remit within the school to work in a variety of ways. He is a member of the Professoriate team and is currently charged with getting greater involvement from Visiting Professors in the work in the School. Trevor has also initiated the Visiting Professor's trouble-shooter scheme and is leading its introduction as part of the School's quality management and strategy planning processes.
He has a broader role in supporting the School through Professional and Industry liaison, leading relationships with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) on matters of policy, accreditation and partnership. He chairs partnership meetings with the RICS and maintains regular dialogue and contact on future issues of policy and strategic direction.
