Visitors saw the work of our very own students while they talked through their projects.

Our students had compiled a video portfolio of their digital media work and gave talks on their concepts, thought processes and technical achievements. This was a chance to get up close to the talent of the future.

Beat Poet - Matt Frodsham
A graphic film illustrating a poem called ‘Two Inches to the Right’ which deals with the consequences of an act of mindless violence.

10.35am and 1.15pm
Happy Birthday - Neil Bradley

A moving and powerful film about coping with bereavement. (Please note that this film contains flashing lights and some strong language)

10.50am and 1.30pm
High School Rap - Joe Chambers

Joe worked with pupils from Albion High School as part of the Aim Higher Project to produce this entertaining and funny rap video.

11.00am and 2.40pm
Summer Secrets of the Itchen Navigation - Matt Hamilton

A stunning documentary discovering the secret wildlife of the Itchen Navigation (a 10 mile disused canal in Hampshire). This film has been nominated for a Royal Television Society Award.

Dazzled by You - Daniel Kenyon

The winning video in a competition established by Bob Geldof to produce pop videos for his latest album. Bob reckons the film is “really clever, warm and original” and has featured it on his website.

11.25am and 3.05pm
My Lady in Waiting - Ryan Dempsey

A stop animation short film exploring a historical myth. The film makes good use of masks and costumes.

A Boy After Life - Daniel Kenyon

A short drama following the story of a young boy who wants to be noticed and appreciated.

Valgard and the Viking - Chris Anderson

Another stop animation short film exploring a historical myth. The film makes good use of masks and costumes.

Yes Sir - Richard Barrett

A series of poems addressing the riots which occurred in Salford and Manchester earlier this year.

Urban Voices - Raymond Eckersley

A poem for five voices but performed solo by Ray.
