Chris is the Technical Manager responsible for the overall management, staffing and running of the Recording Studios, TV Acting Studio, Radio Studio, Edit Suites and Mac suites.

Eileen Cullen

Eileen Cullen

Eileen has worked at the University of Salford in the costume department for over 20 years, researching, buying and making costumes, and managing the vast array of costumes and props in the wardrobe area on a daily basis. She also liaises with directors and students in costuming shows, facilitating our students’ needs.

Mark Creamer

Mark Creamer

Mark is responsible for the bookings of the University’s theatre spaces, Robert Powell and Adelphi Studio, and rehearsal rooms. He also co-ordinates all curricular events, engagement projects and external activities for Performance students. He originally came to Salford as a student in 2002, before joining the technical team as a Production Technician in 2006. Outside of the University, Mark acts as the Technical Manager for HOPE Theatre Company whilst freelancing for shows such as ‘The Boy with Tape on his Face’ and Black Toffee’s ‘Hidden’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Ian Currie

Ian began his career as a projectionist and stage hand, before moving to Salford where he began working as a theatre technician. Since then, he has toured with professional shows both nationally and internationally as a lighting designer and operator and was venue director for ‘The Mad Abbot’ Edinburgh Fringe project for four years. Ian has a passion for all things theatre and is particularly keen on lighting design, graphic design, photography, as well as video and sound editing and mixing. Ian currently takes care of the Adelphi Studio Theatre facilities.

David Dewsnip

David Dewsnip

David is responsible for the Robert Powell Theatre and is the main contact for enquiries relating to this space. Having worked in the entertainment industry for 16 years with experience in both the theatre and corporate sectors, David enjoys supporting students with their lighting and sound design alongside prop and set construction. He continues to work in the local theatre industry as well as continuing to produce musical theatre productions, most recently including ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘Footloose’.

Anna Lytwyn

Anna Lytwyn

Anne has been at the University for over 15 years as a costume co-ordinator, designer, pattern cutter/grader plus costume, props and accessory maker. She assists students for their performances. Prior to working at the University, Anna was head designer, pattern cutter and grader for a children’s manufacturer. Alongside this, Anna has also been a costume maker for the Ukrainian Dance Group and is involved in teaching sewing techniques and Ukrainian Language, Crafts & Traditional Cultures.

Maureen Wegrzyn

Maureen works with Eileen and Anna in the costume department. Her role is to design, make, alter and repair the University’s wardrobe stock as well as working with directors and students to supporting the busy programme of shows and events. Previous to joining the wardrobe team, Maureen worked as a fashion designer and has a wealth of industry experience.

Luke Harrison

Luke Harrison

Luke is the Media Production Technician in the Adelphi building, and his primary role is to provide demonstration and support for any video or editing equipment available to Arts & Media students. He also co-ordinates the booking and loans of equipment to students and is responsible for health and safety, maintenance and purchases of new equipment for the area. There has recently been a major upgrade to improve the facilities, including new individual edit suites for students to work undisturbed, the purchase of new cameras and a re-fit of the TV Acting and Radio studios. Luke has a working background in audio which has progressed into video in recent years, and is currently completing an MSc in Audio Production here at the University of Salford.

Connoll Pavey

Connoll Pavey

Connoll works in the Adelphi Media Production area, facilitating the loan of media equipment to students, whilst maintaining the media production edit suites, TV and Radio studios, and providing specialist support and skills demonstrations. He is a skilled filmmaker and cinematographer with advanced knowledge of post-production techniques.
