Following study at the University of Salford (where he was awarded the Roy Newsome Conducting Prize) Paul Lovatt-Cooper has enjoyed success as one of the most popular composers of band music of his generation. His music has been performed, recorded and broadcast worldwide in venues including New York’s famous Carnegie Hall and London’s Royal Albert Hall. He has collaborated with some of the UK’s finest performers and composers and his work Where Eagles Sing was chosen by Karl Jenkins for inclusion on the EMI Classics Album This Land of Ours.

Paul regularly guest conducts across the globe – recent trips include the USA and Japan where he worked with a number of brass and wind groups. Paul’s versatility as a composer is reflected in his recent appointment as head of the music department at factory transmedia where his projects range from the forthcoming Strange Hill High to the celebrated Postman Pat!
