Current job title and company/profession
Interior Designer, Pozzoni Architects

Adelina started working as an Assistant Interior Designer in August 2012, shortly after graduation. From day one, Adelina was knee-deep in several large schemes including hospitality, care and extra care. Working in the commercial sector exposed Adelina to a huge diversity of people, events and opportunities starting from site to major design events such as Mixology North or the Annual Interior Design Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham.  Adelina is currently working on a scheme at the banks of the River Mersey,  involving a care home where the client wants to create a link between the marine surroundings without introducing an excess of the naval aspect.

"Every day is different and the skills you obtain at the University of Salford, through part-time work, are equally as important as design knowledge and discipline. I’ve found designing for the care sector extremely challenging yet rewarding. People skills are paramount since the job involves a very specific brief set out to provide homes for often very vulnerable people. Having a massive input on projects that are aiming for Gold accreditation from Sterling University is an honour and ultimately, provide for an increasingly debated sector, over 50's and dementia patients."
