Interview process

Selection visit

During a selection visit, candidates make their traditional portfolio available for programme staff to assess. Following this applicants are either interviewed or offered advice on more suitable programmes/directions.

Interview

If you are invited for interview it is worth the effort spending time preparing. Think about the type of questions you would expect to be asked; Why do you want to study your chosen subject? Why do you wish to study at Salford? Who and what influences your work? Your teachers or lecturers will be able to advise on how best to prepare. Also, it’s a good idea to have some sensible questions to ask us, about facilities or teaching methods for example.

We will normally tell you on the day if you are to be offered a place – this will then be confirmed in writing via UCAS.
