I began my EFL teaching career in Greece, moving onto teach Business English and ESP in Germany. I completed my MA TEFL at the University of Manchester and followed this with ESRC funded PhD in TESOL, also at Manchester. I have been teaching at Salford University for 12 years.


I teach on MA TESOL and Applied Linguistics programme, contributing to the Second language learning and teaching module and the Research Methods module. I am also a part-time tutor on the university’s Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP).

Research Interests

I am interested in the role of individual differences in SLA, particularly motivation, beliefs and perceptions, emotion and affective issues.
