Biography
I qualified and practiced for over 20 years as a commercial interior designer. This design practice period culminated with Building Design Practice - 1984 - 1993 (Associate Partner -1990-93) - led northern interior design unit in UK’s largest design practice. As partner I became responsible for Interior Design, Product Design and Graphic Design units across the practices northern offices
Joined University College Salford / University of Salford in 1994 as BA(Hons) Interior Design degree programme leader. I developed and established this programme, which I led for approx 10 years
I have held a number of subsequent roles within the School of Art and Design such as Associate Head Teaching, Subject Leader 3D Design, Divisional Director and acting Head of School (2010-2012)
I am currently involved with the new Gateway Project (new building for the combined Schools of A&D and MMP) as interim Project Sponsor and now as Senior User.
Teaching
I deliver modules in interior design theory and practice across levels 5 & 6 of BA(Hons) 3D Design: Interior Design
Research Interests
Architectural Interior Design Theory and current/20C practice.
Professional Practice of commercial interior design.
