Biography

Colin was born in Edinburgh. He studied first at University of Ulster in Coleraine and then proceeded to undertake 2 Masters of Fine Art in the USA in Theatre and Film Directing. He ran his own production company in Philadelphia, Optical Productions.

He arrived in Salford in 1991 to take up the post of Lecturer in Media Performance. He has taught scriptwriting, directing, acting and production skills and has directed many theatre shows while at Salford. He established firstly the MA TV & Radio Scriptwriting, followed by the MA Film Screenwriting, a joint venture with Tampere Polytechnic University in Finland.
