Biography

The journey to here –pathway leader in Fashion Image Making /Styling starts as a fashion stylist in the 90’s working for fashion/music clients -frustrated by the the way my styling was photographed I decided I wanted to do it all style and photograph  -completing an MA in Fashion Communication and the success that followed- important competition wins and exhibitions at the V&A museum followed by further commissions led me inevitably to a crossroads- I had always taught fashion and image - did I give that all up for London / freelancing –the answers obvious from that moment everything I believed in went into developing one of the first Styling /Image making courses in the country –my determination and focus meant were here now with 80+ students in the pathway with graduates now placed successfully within the industry it’s the turn of the students to win competitions / commissions which they do –I still photograph I never stopped its who I am what I do –teach and photograph –photograph and teach –its all one –my photographs free of restraints full of love -record the world I believe in- spread the word about the beauty of fashion to the next generation who go forth dreaming and multiplying and so on ….

Teaching

 In my role as Pathway Leader for Fashion Styling and Image Making on the Fashion Degree I oversee the whole specialism from teaching/organization  –industry collaborations –exhibitions –events –lecture programs –personal tutorials –exhibition catalogues /magazines –styling for fashion show events – blogs etc. I am also admissions officer for the whole fashion area which involves me in open days /promotion visits / UCAS fairs etc. – I am a member of PMC board  I am on the Executive Committee at Graduate Fashion Week and involved with the British Fashion Council  as a course
