Biography
Dr Anna Catalani joined the University of Salford in 2009 as Lecturer in Museum & Heritage Studies. She is currently the programme leader for the MA in Art and Design. Anna holds an MA and PhD in Museum Studies, both from the University of Leicester and a PGCert in Higher Education and Research from the University of Salford.
Teaching
Postgraduate teaching:
Collections Management; Heritage Interpretation; Visitor Studies; Research Methods.
Undergraduate teaching:
Design awareness; Design and Visual Literacy.
Research Interests
My research interests are interdisciplinary, with work on creative and cultural tourism, museum studies, heritage interpretation, material culture and identity construction, bridging the gap between heritage-based disciplines, audience engagement, and the cultural and creative industries.
