MA Television Documentary Production
Year of graduation
Current job title and company/profession
Freelance Assistant Producer
Since graduating I've worked on documentaries for the BBC, Channel 4 and Sky - including a Bafta-winning documentary for CBBC called My Life: Me, My Dad & His Kidney and an RTS Award winning documentary about British survivors of 9/11. My new job in TV has taken me all over the country to work with fantastic people - both in front of and behind the camera.
I joined the MA in TV Documentary Production because I thought it would be a cool way to spend a year - and it was. I just never realised it would have such an amazing effect on my entire life. The practical skills we learned and films we made meant I was ready to leap straight into the world of TV documentaries and kickstarted some amazing adventures making programmes with some fabulous film makers. But more than that, the tutors were amazing and taught me to think about factual filmmaking with imagination and passion - and that's the most invaluable lesson.
