Jack Muskett
Current Student - Wildlife & Practical Conservation
Jack has worked with University of Salford Community Action Teams as a volunteer with a wildlife identification ranger team and has worked in local schools with children to increase wildlife awareness.

Joy Ayles
Graduated 2011 – Advertising Design
During her time at Salford Joy got involved with students’ Union’s clubs and acted as student rep for her cohort
"During my time at University I tried to gain as much experience as I possibly could as I realised that I had to get involved in extra activities to enhance my CV and boost my employability skills. I was the Chairperson for the rowing team and became a Student Representative, representing my course and peers. During my second year I was awarded Student Employee of the Year for the North West region."
It is so important to make sure you stand out from the crowd and do something different whilst at University. The more you can get involved in, the more likely you are to become more employable.

Opeoluwa Adewolu
Current Student – Managing Information Technology
Opeoluwa came from Nigeria to study at Salford. Her positive experience of her programme of study and the Salford Advantage has led to her now planning to enrol on a PhD.

Shah Alom
Current Student - Aircraft Engineering with Pilot Studies
Shah is from south-west London and the first in his family to leave the capital to study. Shah chose Salford because of the unique nature of his course. Shah is currently president of the Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) group and has taken advantage of Enterprise Academy, represented his colleagues as Student Rep and is an active member of the Snowboarding Society.
"The experience gained through these activities has made me become a more confident person and they have indirectly given me some leadership skills. Taking part in these activities has taught me many things that you cannot learn just on your degree such as communicating with people at all levels, people skills and networking."

Mariusz Andreasik
Graduated 2010 – Project Management
Polish-born Mariusz Andreasik is a Product Improvement Specialist at Smart Education Limited. Whilst at Salford, Mariusz was active in Students’ Union and Enterprise projects.

Dennis Sawyerr
Current Student – Managing Information Technology
Dennis is in his final year of an undergraduate course and plans to go on to do a Masters and ultimately an MBA. During his time at Salford, Dennis has been involved in Enterprise activities and is Project manager of iCycle – a bicycle hire scheme.
"These extracurricular activities have helped me to become more of a leader, think strategically, analyse a situation and go through with the idea. They have given me the confidence to communicate with people at all different levels in an organisation and implement projects successfully."

Hristina Peneva Simeonova
Current Student – Hospitality Management
Hristina came to Salford from Bulgaria. During her time here she has worked as a Student Host and a Student Ambassador and has attended numerous study skills workshops, short courses and classes and through SIFE became the Project Manager for a project called “Healthy Eating for Young Mummies”
"All of the extracurricular activities allowed me to experience the student life from different perspectives, improved my skills and developed some new ones, increased my confidence and made me competitive amongst my peers.
