Public lectures
The Vice Chancellor’s Lecture Series aims to increase University and public engagement through a number of informative talks presented by high profile speakers of national and/or international standing. The series usually comprises of six lectures held throughout the academic year at venues across the University campus.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Martin Hall said: “Engagement has always been high on the University of Salford’s agenda, indeed it is a particular mission of the University to be part of the local and regional community. I’m confident the Lecture Series will help us achieve this.”
The lectures are open to anyone to attend, from internal staff and students to external businesses, local interest groups and the wider public.
The University is also looking to continue the success of the Professorial Inaugural Lectures for the next academic year, whereby all newly appointed or promoted Professors will have the opportunity to share their achievements in research, innovation, engagement and teaching activities and allow the University to present its state-of-the-art successes.
