University of Salford Manchester

UK Partnerships

The University is committed to meeting the needs of individuals and businesses throughout the City of Salford and the wider North-West. Working hard to widen participation in Higher Education, the University is striving to ensure that its curriculum is relevant, accessible and enables students to successfully realise their employment potential. The University is seeking to work in partnership with like minded institutions to develop flexible delivery models that promote access to HE provision at a range of regional education providers and provide clearly mapped progression routes to enable students to plan their HE study according to their individual requirements.

The nature of the UK based University partnerships are wide and varied but tend to fall into one of three categories:

Key Feeder Institutions

These tend to be local and regional FE Colleges, Sixth Form Colleges and Schools.

Partnerships with Business

The University establishes partnerships with industry and individual businesses that are closely aligned to its core academic areas of expertise.

Other Educational Organisations

A mix of strategically important partnerships with public and private organisations whose core business centres on education.
