Denise Rennie

Dean of School of Environment & Life Sciences

Denise RennieDenise is the Interim Dean of the School of Environment and Life  Sciences. She joined the University of Salford as a Lecturer in 1983 and has held a number of leadership roles within the institution including Head of Department, Director and Associate Dean Academic in the School of Environment and Life Sciences. Denise is a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner and has worked as a regulatory enforcement officer in local government and as a consultant to the Food Standards Agency on the introduction of EU food safety regulations.

She has experience of audit and PSRB accreditation of Higher Education provision. She has also developed national and international curricula for  environmental health education as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Task Group on Routes to Qualification and Core Curriculum Review and Vice-chair of the International  Faculty Forum for Environmental Health Education.
