Emily Voss-Bevan - Appointed Student Member

Emily is the sabbatical officer for Health and Social Care at the University of Salford Students’ Union. She gained a Second Class Honours Division One degree in Sociology with Criminology at the University. Emily has been part of the Salford Students’ Union drama society Almost Famous, performing in four shows and being on the production team for three. She has also been a committee member for Shock Radio, the Salford student radio station, as well as presenting and producing for the station. She has interviewed bands including Bloc Party, Blossoms and Daughter. As sabbatical officer for Health and Social Care, Emily’s main focus is mental health. She is striving to create a mental health drop-in centre which will offer students an immediate support network as well as providing volunteering opportunities for students to support their peers.
