The Adobe Research Hotel is a unique space at MediaCityUK, designed to encourage imagination, free thinking, play, experimentation and co-creation.

It is a technology-rich playground where researchers and innovators from a range of backgrounds and disciplines work together, utilising leading edge hardware and software in partnership with brand leaders Adobe, HP and NVIDIA.

How to get involved

The Research Hotel is a competitive space and residencies are granted following successful application. Accommodating 16 guests a day, work stations can be booked for flexible periods, ranging from a day visit to 3 month residency.

Project proposals

Taking an inclusive approach, we welcome project proposals that explore a wide range of themes and areas, but to ensure the space generates research impacts we ask that applicants bear in mind the University research themes: Built Environment; Energy; Health & Wellbeing; Media, Digital Technology & the Creative Economy; and Memory, Text & Place.

We particularly seek applications that will best utilise the Adobe, HP and NVIDIA technology, and take advantage of the other facilities in the building such as the Egg and the Digital Performance Lab.

A dedicated team are on hand to help facilitate connections, support projects and look for further funding.
